Biography
Many years after his birth, there was an accident with the Mako reactor that was built near Gongaga. After that, he decided to leave his hometown to go to Midgar in hopes of becoming a Soldier. There he met his girlfriend Aerith and was also successful in becoming one of the elite troops of Shinra. Out of the top three classes of Soldier, he joined the first ranks.
Although originally selected to become a Soldier for his true qualities and abilities, his fate took a sudden sharp turn when he was dispatched on a mission to the town of Nibelheim. Sephiroth, the other first rank Soldier that was with him, fell into a state of madness. In his attempt to stop Sephiroth, he was heavily wounded and together with Cloud, they ended up as experiments for Professor Hojo.
Soon, Zack managed to escape together with Cloud. Thinking they were free at last, Zack let his guard down to think about their future. But Shinra had them tracked down. Trying to protect his friend Cloud, who was helpless because of Mako poisoning, Zack was shot dead.
After that, Aerith and his parents never heard from him again. They only knew that he was missing. |
