A girl who has a mysterious charm about her. She has the composure of an adult while at the same time, the innocence of a child.
Aerith has a docile personality but she is also outgoing. She always expresses her thoughts clearly through words. Her firm positive mind prevents her from giving in in any situation.
Her mother was Ifalna, a survivor of an ancient race known as the Cetra while her father was Gast, a human scientist. As she lost both her parents, Aerith became the last one on the Planet to have the blood of the Cetra flowing in her. Although the Cetra power she possessed was very weak, she had the ability to talk to the Planet ever since she was small. She also knew when someone died on the Planet.
Before Aerith met Cloud, Zack, a member of Soldier was her first love. It all started when Zack bought a flower from her in Midgar. Cloud's way of talking and his behaviour seems very alike to Zack in the eyes of Aerith.
Biography
On the twentieth day after she was born in Icicle Inn, Professor Hojo tried to take her away to use as one of his samples. Aerith's father Professor Gast tried to stop him but was shot dead in the struggle. Afterwards, both she and her mother Ifalna, last of the Cetra, were taken to Shinra Inc's HQ.
After seven years of confinement, Ifalna finally managed to escape with Aerith. But by the time fled to the station of the Seventh Sector Slums, Aerith's mother was already on the verge of death. Before she died, she entrusted Aerith to a passerby who happened to be waiting at the station, Elmyra and Aerith became Elmyra's adopted daughter.
Shinra wasn't going to let the matter be left unsettled and after their scouts the Turks, learned of Aerith's location, they visited Elmyra's home many times trying to get her back to Shinra. But they always got rejected.
Before long, after the first Mako Reactor was blown up in Midgar, Aerith met Cloud for the first time. After deciding to join him and Avalanche in their battle, Aerith knew the fate she had as a Cetra, from the moment she set off on her journey.
Soon a great threat was facing the Planet and Aerith knew she had to fulfil her role as the last remaining Cetra. Prepared for the fate that laid before her, Aerith secretly left the others and alone, set off to the Forgotten City where the Cetra used to dwell. It was there that she met her death but not before successfully summoning the magic that would help save the Planet.
To this day, she is still dearly remembered by the other members of Avalanche that she journeyed with. |
