Arriving at the Mako reactor, Professor Hojo shows interest in Cloud and Zack. He orders them to be taken to the nearby Shinra mansion in Nibelheim. The incident made him decide to resume the research that took place in the mansion once again and, the Turks are ordered to make the required preparations. Veld's past and involvement in the secret incident that took place in the strange laboratory is slowly revealed...

The Player heads out to Wutai, once a home for Ninjas, where Avalanche's base was believed to be at. But Avalanche had already received news about Shinra's operation to destroy their headquarters... Our Player also meets an energetic young girl named Yuffie as she gets chased out of Wutai's Pogada by Avalanche.

Caught in the explosion, the Player has landed in the lowest level of the Corel Mako reactor after battling with Shears. But for some reason, the Player finds Shears lying nearby... The two agree to a truce for now until the Mako reactor crumbles but, something dangerous was in the air...

Being trapped inside the Corel Mako reactor after being caught in an explosion, the Player tries to escape with all his life but ends up falling unconcious. Waking up, the Player finds himself lying on a bed in a place he didn't recognise. It seemed he had been sleeping unconciously for three years. During that time, two new members had joined Turks and our story heads towards a new curve...
